London Is Blue After Chelsea's Defeat Of Tottenham

London is blue after Chelsea's 1-0 defeat of Tottenham! A 24' minute penalty by Jorginho settled the game as Mourinho's men were unable to comeback, giving Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel his first win against a Big Six team. The penalty was won after Eric Dier fouled Timo Werner in the box, tieing Werner for the player with most penalties won this season in the league with 3. Jorginho calmy smashed it into the left-hand corner which proved to be the difference maker. This result sees Chelsea go up to 6th place in the league standings while Tottenham fall to 8th.
Tottenham's performance was no surprise as they played the classic Mourinho defensive tactics, simply defending and kicking the ball up the field. Chelsea took advantage of that and attempted 18 shots in total, although only a poor 2 were on target. In comparison, Tottenham only attempted 7 and had 2 on target. Although Tottenham was without Harry Kane, that is no excuse for their lack of creativity and shooting. Chelsea clearly dominated the match and even though their goal wasn't from open play, they still deserved the win. They were calm, collected, and ready to take care of business.
This win means that Thomas Tuchel is undefeated in his first three games for Chelsea, his previous two games being a win and a draw. And on the other side, this loss has become the first time in Jose Mourinho's entire managerial career that he has lost 2 home games in a row. While things look very positive for Chelsea, they are slowly becoming worse at Tottenham. Big named players like Dele Alli are getting fed up with Mourinho and his ways and want to part ways with the club. And with the Blues, players like Callum Hudson-Odoi, Marcos Alonso, and Jorginho are once again getting their game time and flourishing following the arrival of Tuchel. The only worry is an injury picked up by Thiago Silva who appeared to have suffered a leg injury in the first half. Hopefully it is nothing serious and he can soon get back to leading the Blues. Under Tuchel, Chelsea once again look like the title challengers they started the season as and let's see whether Chelsea sustains this form.
